This last week before we get a bit of a break, let’s commit to finding time to pause it all and take a breath. Here are a few ideas to help you find the margin you need this week!

     1. Jesus Is Born

Gather around and turn to Luke 2:1-16. Choose someone to read or take turns letting everyone have a chance to read a verse or two.

     2. Take a Light Drive

Grab your kids, grab some blankets, and maybe some hot chocolate. After dinner, load up in the car and take a ride around the neighborhood to enjoy some Christmas lights.

      3. Cookie Delivery

Send your college kid his or her favorite cookie! There are delivery services in most places-let them know you are thinking about them—and don’t forget the milk!

      4. Friday Night Party

Let each kiddo choose their dinner for the night! Cookies-fine! Pizza-fine! Candy-Fine! Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich-Fine! And if this is too hard to digest…maybe let them choose their own dessert!

      5. Movie Camp Out

Ask everyone to grab their pillow and a blanket and find a spot in front of the TV! Watch a Christmas movie together and if there are any singing parts, be sure to sing loud for all to hear!

I would love to hear from you! Do you have ideas that you would like to share, maybe something your family does to interrupt the week! You see, my dream is to see our Goby community helping one another along the way! Leave your ideas in the comments below!

Keep swimming,

Toby
